The company said that it has chosen Thunderhead Now due to the platform’s XML-based design and support for service-oriented architectures. It will enable flexible integration with the company’s existing infrastructure, including its CSC Exceed policy administration system. Thunderhead’s support for ACORD insurance industry standards was also a key differentiator.

In addition, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance is also planning to use the Thunderhead Now context engine to improve future campaign management. The context engine stores a complete history of Thunderhead-generated customer communications in a scalable XML repository that can be used to inform future messages.

Greg Clancy, CIO of Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, said: The integration with CSC will also mean efficiency and cost savings for us in the long run. We believe that we will be able to get to market faster than we could with other solutions.

“Thunderhead’s flexible, standards-based technology not only addressed our immediate need to modernize our existing communications system, it also offered robust functionality that will enable us to improve the overall context and relevancy of each individual communication.”
