India’s Twinstar Software Exports Ltd has developed a fully automated tool to solve the Y2K problem. A statement from the firm said the tool, called TWIN 2K, is totally platform independent, and has a GUI interface. It fully automates the process of analysis, code conversion and compliance and regression testing. The statement said that from the initial point of identification of the date fields to the final point of code conversion and testing, the process is automatic, while leaving the change plan to the discretion of the customer. The process of code conversion is then based on what rectification plan the customer chooses. Twinstar has offices in New Jersey, London, California, Bangalore and Bombay.
