IMTEC PLC AGREES MERGER WITH LASERSCAN INTERNATIONAL, HARPER & TUNSTALL

Imtec Group Plc, half-time figures in Company Results, is to merge with two other companies in fields related to its micrographics business, Harper & Tunstall Ltd and LaserScan International Ltd. The company is also selling its Imtec Information Systems Inc subsidiary in the US for UKP1.8m. The shares were unimpressed by the reduction in losses and shed fourpence to 24p; they have been trading in a range 11p to 31p over the past year.
