IMSI INC TO ACQUIRE MEDIAPAQ

By CBR Staff Writer

International Microcomputer Software Inc, better known as IMSI and the company behind the best selling TurboCAD and MasterClip PC software products, is to acquire tiny privately held MediaPaq Inc, a developer of multimedia software. The deal, a stock-for- stock transfer whereby MediaPaq’s shareholders will receive 20,000 shares of IMSI stock, will give IMSI ownership of MediaPaq Browser, the browser and viewer technology it already uses in MasterClips and various other of its products. MediaPaq Browser is used for collecting, organizing, compressing, storing, retrieving and distributing libraries of multimedia objects. IMSI said it would also be using the product in its recently acquired HiJaak product, the graphics utility it recently bought from Quarterdeck Inc.
