Fed up with that inert little mouse sitting on its mat in front of your computer? Make way for one you can stroke and feel, the Feelit Mouse from Immersion Inc which apparently enables people to ‘feel’ their software. Ugh! Imagine all those lumpy bugs. The Feelit Mouse contains a motor which vibrates, and lets you feel your choice of pull-down menu with a physical snap, or touch textures, different surfaces, hills and valleys while gliding over a web page. Available in 1998 for $140, it’s a must for next year’s Christmas stockings.
