IMall Inc has extended its e-commerce services by launching Stuff.com, a product search engine and shopping portal intended to unite e-commerce shoppers with small- to medium-sized retailers. When it launches on November 1, users should be able to search for products on Stuff.com without having to wade through related web sites that have no goods for sale. IMall says millions of products are already loaded into the Stuff.com database and are searchable by price, merchant, geographical location and manufacturer/brand. For merchants whose sites are deemed brochureware – that is, lacking shopping carts, checkouts and credit processing – iMall offers the opportunity to load one hundred products into database free. With Stuff.com’s load wizard, retailers need only drag and drop a graphic and fill out a few product information fields. Existing iMall merchants also get to list their products on Stuff.com, while maintaining their storefronts on iMall.
