ILS Technology, a provider of intelligent connectivity offerings, has introduced Virtual Service Infrastructure (VSI) Application Suite, which links intelligent devices with enterprise applications and databases, and enables insights into operational performance and productivity.
The company claims that the application suite is a vendor neutral offering that allows operations managers, equipment manufacturers, and independent service providers (ISPs) to gain the benefits of reduced downtime, field call durations, support costs, and mean time to repair (MTTR).
In addition, the VSI suite enables remote monitoring and secure access capabilities to include the ability to perform automatic fault/problem reporting, production data collection, predictive maintenance, MES/ERP integration, multivendor line integration, web/mobile visualisation and event/information publishing. It provides integration to enterprise applications and databases such as IBM Maximo, Oracle, SAP, DB2 and HPOpenview.
Fred Yentz, president and CEO of ILS Technology, said: In today’s work environment where companies are utilising physically dispersed workforces, along with outsourced services, the challenge of device-to-enterprise connectivity goes beyond crossing the LAN to include the need for integrated WAN capabilities.
“VSI Application Suite addresses this need end-to-end by giving remote operations and support personnel the visibility and access to production and process data as if they had physical access to the device, while simultaneously assuring auditable security and accountability requirements are meet.”
