Users of Ilog’s Rules for .NET 2.5 (which lets business users tweak rules using Microsoft Office) and Gantt for .NET 3.0 (a graphical tool for creating .NET compliant Gantt charts) tools can now create and manage rules directly within the Visual Studio integrated development environment.
Integration is facilitated via Ilog’s Rule Studio for .NET component, which interfaces directly with Visual Studio 2005 to allow developers to into features like refactoring, enhanced Windows Forms, and the new data access controls for speedy rules implementation.
Ilog Gantt .NET users can also take advantage of Visual Studio’s Smart Tags, improved Ado.NET support, and new textrendering features. Paris, France-based Ilog will now attain Microsoft Gold partner certification. It also supports Java and Microsoft C++ environments, and completely re-architected its Java JRules rules product in March.
