Integrated Device Technology (IDT) has acquired the touch sensor technology assets from Leadis Technology, a fabless semiconductor company.
The company said that the transaction would help expanding its existing audio, video, timing and power smart technologies to enable it to offer various multimedia applications with integrated processing, interfacing and connectivity services.
The transaction would enable IDT to provide OEMs and ODMs with Application-Specific Standard Products (ASSPs) that is expected to enhance digital media experience.
In addition, IDT said that it will also acquire the Leadis Technology intellectual property and employee teams necessary to execute the existing roadmap for continued touch sensor development.
Earlier in April, IDT announced the acquisition of Canada-based Tundra Semiconductor, a provider of mixed signal semiconductor products that enrich the digital media experience, for approximately CDN$120.8m.
