IDP introduces fully web-distributed billing module

Wyncote, Pennsylvania-based IDP has introduced Acies/one Bill-It, a fully web-distributed billing module, in a move the company says will redefine the ability of property & casualty insurance companies to benefit from web-enabled billing efficiencies.

By CBR Staff Writer

Bill-It, according to IDP, operates with other internet-based services and offers features such as remote access for agents and agencies, third-party payment and printing, real-time cash posting, automated cash application, equity installments, account billing and the ability to trail billing audits for all accounts.

The module’s introduction is part of IDP’s Acies/one integrated insurance system design and production program. It functions as a standalone unit or as an integrated part of the full Acies/one suite of products.

IDP CEO Gary Gilbert said Bill-It was developed in response to a prevailing trend in today’s business climate: IDP’s informal market research reveals that a sizable segment of p&c insurers are actively seeking web-based billing solutions…This is especially true among firms that have successfully put technology to work in other areas, such as policy rating, and are enjoying the benefits of processing efficiency and increased data accessibility.
