ICL WINS UK DEFENSE DEAL

By CBR Staff Writer

ICL Plc has been commissioned by the Ministry of Defense in the UK to develop and operate a new service to streamline the treatment of information about the safe handling of hazardous stores. The move has come in response to new European Community rules about safety, and the MoD hopes it will be able to reduce its risks and improve services. The contract will run over 10 years and is thought to be worth around 2.5m pounds, with the new information system scheduled to be come into action in the autumn and will be distributed by ICL on CD-ROM.
