ICL UKP9m DEFENCE CONTRACT

By CBR Staff Writer

ICL is celebrating a UKP9m contract from the UK Ministry of Defence to develop and supply a system to automate the control, planning and expenditure monitoring procedures for land-based procurement for the UK armed services. The Landscape project is scheduled to be operational in July 1989, and will run on an existing Series 39/60 mainframe at Bureau West in Devizes, Wiltshire. Some 200 DRS 300 Tempest terminals to it will be installed at Defence offices in London. GEC Easams and CRD are the subcontractors to ICL.
