ICL SIGNS DEAL WITH M4 DATA TO BUY ITS 9903 TAPE DRIVE

ICL has signed a deal with the Camberley, Surrey-based tape drive manufacturer M4 Data Ltd to buy its 9903 reel-to-reel magnetic tape drive for use in the DRS range of departmental systems: the contract will be worth over UKP5m in the next four years, and enables ICL to implement its European sourcing policy; M4 Data recently won ICL’s Quality Award for reliability with its Model 8900 tape drive; M4 manufactures its tape drives in Frimley, Surrey and does research and development in Wells, Somerset.
