ICL Plc, which reckons that it is the Number One supplier of multi-user Personalikes in the UK, has finally discovered the 80286 chip, and has introduced the PC Quattro XM, which again supports up to four users, each running up to four concurrent tasks under the Digital Research Concurrent DOS operating system that emulates MS-DOS by intercepting system calls: it uses an 8MHz 80286 with no wait states, and comes with 1Mb of memory on a board which has room for a total of 5Mb, and either a 20Mb or 50Mb disk drive, with capacity expandable to 150Mb using external disk drives; ICL gave no prices for the Quattro.
