ICL INC MOVES TO SANTA CLARA AS ICL DATACHECKER

By CBR Staff Writer

ICL’s US peripatetic US subsidiary – it has been based in New York City, East Brunswick in New Jersey, Dallas and a few other places, and most recently in Stamford, Connecticut, is on the move again, this time to Santa Clara, California – where it will paint ICL Datachecker Inc on its shingle. The new move follows completion of acquisition of the Datachecker point-of-sale business from National Semiconductor Corp for $90m. ICL Inc president Gary Hegna continues to head the greatly-enlarged firm; the Network Systems arm stays in Stamford. ICL’s parent STC Plc now also owns Computer Consoles Inc in Waltham, Massachusetts, but this remains separate from ICL for the present.
