ICL HAS ORDER OF SERIES 39 LEVEL 35 MAINFRAME

By CBR Staff Writer

In a deal worth an estimated UKP1.1m the Leeds & Holbeck Building Society is to install an ICL Series 39 Level 35 mainframe; the computer will run the customer-based Omnia-VME software, developed by Heywood & Partners in conjunction with ICL, which will link the building society’s 73 branches throughout the country; the system replaces its current Centrefile bureau service.
