Underlining its interest in artificial intelligence technology, ICL has paid UKP212,000 for a 20% stake in four-year-old MS-DOS expert systems specialist Expertech Ltd of Slough, Berkshire. Expertech, developer of the Xi Plus expert system shell, will use the cash for development, marketing – including overseas expansion, and doing versions of its products for other machines.
