ICL Plc and Novell Inc duly announced their worldwide strategic development agreement, under which Novell will make ICL’s newly developed NetWare Loadable Module version of TeamOffice available as a third party product in its own authorised distribution channels in Europe, and may take it in the US as well. New X400 NetWare and UnixWare products will be developed jointly by ICL and Novell to provide NetWare customers with greater access to open electronic mail systems, and ICL will develop a version of UnixWare 2.0 for the Sparc RISC, to run on its new Teamserver and Superserver range. ICL notes that it is the first European to sign a strategic development agreement with Novell.
