ICL yesterday announced that it has become a major sponsor of Sport Aid ’88, a follow-up to the 1986 Bob Geldof-inspired event which raised UKP19.7m for famine relief in Africa: ICL DRS systems are being installed at Sport Aid headquarters in London as part of a package including equipment, maintenance and training valued at more than UKP600,000; staff at headquarters will also use Computer Consoles Officepower Unix office automation system running on the ICL product range under Unix.
