Under the extension, ICG will continue to provide Goodyear’s North American Tire operation with a range of procurement business process outsourcing services, including sourcing, category management, and purchase-to-pay transaction processing for large indirect spend categories. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

In January 2006, ICG announced that it was providing Goodyear with procurement services as part of the company’s ongoing attempt to reduce internal costs. Extending our contract with ICG Commerce attests to the success of the relationship to date, said Ted Augustine, Goodyear’s director of purchasing for North American Tire.

News of the contract extension comes just over a week after ICG secured a five-year addition to its contract with Cameron, a provider of flow equipment products to the oil and gas industries.

The procurement outsourcing sector continues to be dominated by four main players: ICG, Accenture, Ariba, and IBM Global Services. Between them, the four make up roughly 80% of the total market.
