Communications software house Systems Bank Ltd has been appointed Japanese distributor for network products from International Communications Corp, of Ohio: the Japanese company is also helping International Communications to establish a joint venture company, ICC Japan, which is to be in operation by February; the company makes gateways and emulators, and 80% of its $17m sales in the last financial year were to Unisys Corp users; the two companies will also collaborate in the development of communications products for Unisys mainframes, with the first product to be released next month in the form of four different gateways for Unisys users; Systems Bank is already a distributor for Novell Inc’s NetWare and the company says that it feels that the market for mainframe-to-personal computer network gateways will develop.
