IBM’S ROLM CORP HAS $13M CONTRACT FROM COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY

IBM’s Rolm Corp in Santa Clara, California has a $13m contract to provide Columbia University in New York City with a large voice and data communications system based on its recently announced CBX II 9000AE: the system uses Rolmbus 295 technology, and will comprise more than 10,000 lines, with 8% equipped to switch data as well as voice.
