IBM’s RIOS WORKSTATIONS MAY INCLUDE MORE EXTENSIVE FAMILY OF PRODUCTS THEN THOUGHT

IBM’s expected RIOS workstations, which should surface sometime in January if all goes well – and may include a more extensive family of products than some commentators have so far indicated – should also include graphics technology bought in from Silicon Graphics Inc according to sources: IBM licensed graphics boards and software graphics libraries from the company way back in September 1988 (CI No 1,017).
