IBM YELLS “FOUL”

By CBR Staff Writer

Dear oh dear, Big Mother is in a bad way, and is clearly showing no confidence in the systems integration skills of the Federal Systems Division: instead of screwing the Loweller down to a really keen price, and showing that its implementation skills are second-to-none, mighty IBM is yelling foul to General Services Administration over the fact that the US State Department happens to like the equipment made by struggling little Wang and has drawn up a tender for 498 general-purpose CPUs in such a way that only people bidding Wang kit will be able to fulfill the contract within the price guidelines.
