IBM has extended a long-term contract with Boeing to manage its corporate voice communication network that covers almost 150,000 users. The three-year deal has an estimated value of $160m, and will involve IBM continuing to provide telephony systems and applications support, voicemail, conferencing and operator services in partnership with Verizon Inc. IBM originally signed a five-year, $2bn contract with Boeing in September 1998.

IBM’s Korean subsidiary has signed a 10-year contract with cosmetics manufacturing company Amore Pacific Inc, worth approximately $100m. Under the terms of the deal, IBM will operate and manage Amore Pacific’s IT infrastructure and provide user support, and will move Amore Pacific’s IT infrastructure to the IBM hosting center in the Seoul metropolitan area.
