IBM WILL HAVE A LINE OF UP-TO-DATE LAPTOPS BY YEAR-END

By CBR Staff Writer

IBM is so determined that after two dismal failures in the portable computer market, it really is going to get the thing right this time that it has gone back on its promise that it will have a line of up-to-date laptops out by the end of this year: seems the company has had to go back to the drawing board because the likes of Toshiba Corp and Grid Systems – and now Compaq Computer – are moving the technology and specifications along so fast that its hot new box was already looking just a little dated; February or March is now the favoured date for an IBM introduction.
