IBM USES THE INTERNATIONAL X75 STANDARD

IBM was granted permission at the beginning of the year to begin offering value-added network service between the US and Japan, enabling it to deliver the IBM Information Network directly into Japan for the first time: the hold-up was caused by IBM’s use of the X25+alpha protocol instead of the international X75 standard, and IBM had to agree to offer a link to X75 before Japan relented.
