IBM UK’s new discount structure for its major dealers handling the PS/2 Model 30s (CI No 1,122) gives dealers who agree to take 1,700 of the things in a single quarter a 56% discount on the list price. There is a separate offer of 50% off for single orders of 50 machines. It all sounds very much as if IBM is clearing the decks for new models.
