IBM UK CUTS XT PRICES 10%

IBM UK has also reduced Personal XT prices – rather more modestly than in the US, by an average of about 7%, from February 2. The twin floppy XT and the 10Mb hard disk version are each off 8% at UKP1,443 and UKP1,891 respectively, and the base model XT 286 is off 5% to UKP2,559. The enhanced keyboard falls 8% to UKP161, the colour display is cut 6.2% at UKP452 and the mono display is 8.2% cheaper at UKP156; the mono display and printer adaptor falls the same amount to the same price – UKP156. The Colour Graphics Adaptor is off 6.5% at UKP143 and the parallel printer adaptor 7.5% to UKP49.
