IBM is tipped to unveil the data dictionary plus for its DB2 relational database management system next Tuesday: IBM calls the thing the DB2 Repository, and it will be the ingress for applications generators and tools into DB2 – and IBM is expected to seek the best of these on the market from third parties; the way in will be via the SAA Common Programming Interface.
