IBM TO SUPPORT CP8 SMART CARD IN 4731 AUTO-TELLER

IBM has announced that it will support the French CP8 embedded microprocessor Smart Card in its new 4731 automatic teller machine, which comes with an 11 screen – current IBM ATMs use only a strip display – and four cartridges capable of carrying up to 2,000 new banknotes. The company also has a new self service printer, the 4271; no price was available for either.
