IBM TO INVEST IN A FACSIMILE-RELATED VENTURE

By CBR Staff Writer

Also on the IBM grapevine, the company is said to be investing big bucks in a facsimile-related venture – and the project is said to have slipped a bit: as it has got out of most of its non impact reprographic markets, it’s difficult to believe that the company actually wants to make and market facsimile machines unless it has come up with a dreamy new low-cost technology, but a system for receiving facsimiles on its computers in a form where they can be immediately edited is perfectly believable.
