IBM TIPPED TO LOWER TAGS ON THE 3380D AND E DISK DRIVES

At the other end of the scale, IBM is tipped to lower tags on the 3380D and E disk drives by another 15%, adding to volume purchase discounts that extend to 32% if you buy enough, all of which means that the higher capacity 3380s won’t now be announced before early autumn at the earliest: IBM France is also offering buyback terms on 3420 tapes and 3803 controllers for users who agree to upgrade to 3480s – the offer runs to September 30.
