IBM TIPPED TO ADD LASER PRINTER, ALDUS PAGEMAKER

By CBR Staff Writer

Having signed up a couple of weeks back for Adobe Systems’ Postscript page description language (CI No 633) IBM’s Computer-Aided Publishing Systems business unit is expected to go with another de facto desk-top publishing industry standard by adopting Aldus Corp’s Pagemaker page make-up software for systems to be announced as part of the major Personal Computer splurge on April 2, reports the Newsbytes news wire. The announcement is also expected to include IBM’s first desk-top laser printer, built using an engine from Ricoh Co of Japan.
