O ye of little faith: a plucky band of UK journalists has just escaped from IBM in Rochester, Minnesota where they were kept under house arrest and brainwashed with information about the AS/400 from 7am to midnight, day in, day out for a week: our Computergram representative obviously dazed from her ordeal reports that when asked for proof that IBM was creating an open system from the unpromising material of its highly proprietary AS/400 range was told by one IBMer that he can’t prove his faith in God but he believes in Him and that things are the same at work – he can’t prove that IBM is opening up the AS/400, but if IBM says it is opening the AS/400, he believes it.
