IBM SOLUTIONPAC PERSONAL PUBLISHING SYSTEM INCLUDES ALDUS’ PAGEMAKER 1.0a AND APPLE MACINTOSH FILE TRANSPARENCY

By CBR Staff Writer

The IBM SolutionPac Personal Publishing System – a Personal System/2 bundled with laser printer and desk-top publishing software, which for unexplained reasons is at present announced only in the US – will include the new PageMaker 1.0a release from Aldus Corp, Seattle: the 1.0a release will support half-tones and grey scales, and fully transparent Apple Macintosh file transparency, which according to Microbytes means that the program’s Open command detects in which environment a document was created and makes any conversions necessary.
