IBM SLASHES US DEALER PRICES FOR XT BY 41%

By CBR Staff Writer

Lending weight to the belief that the 8088-based XT models of the Personal Computer will soon follow the original Personal into the garbage can of history, IBM has slashed US dealer prices 41% on floppy disk models of the XT. Major dealers will now pay $750 for the single floppy model, and the twin floppy version is reduced 41% to $800 when ordered in large quantities.
