The management of IBM Europe has been bolstered to an alarming extent with the creation of two new posts and a Chairman’s Office alongside the existing Executive Office. IBM vice-president Renato Riverso has been promoted to directeur general, IBM Europe from directeur general des operations. IBM vice-president Pierre Hessler, formerly head of Corporate Marketing & Services staff becomes directeur general du marketing et des operations, reporting to Mr Riverso. The new Chairman’S Office within the Executive Office consists of the president directeur general, senior vice-president David McKinney, and Mr Riverso, who reports to him. The Excutive Office Committee under Mr McKinney, now consists of Mr Riverso, Mr Hessler, and John Cunningham, directeur general des plans et des services techniques, and Georges Savy, administrateur directeur general. John Stanley, who was a member of the Executive Office Committee and directeur general du marketing et des services, becomes general manager, Information Products Business Unit.
