IBM Corp’s senior vice-president of human resources and administration, Gerry Czarnecki, one of the people brought on board by Louis Gerstner, has resigned: he says he wants to return to running a business – Gerstner wrote to IBM employees Gerry told me that although he believes he has made an impact during his first year here, he feels he is not doing what he does best; finance chief Jerome York and vice-chairman Paul Rizzo are now to share Czarnecki’s responsibilities.
