IBM RS/6000 ENHANCES WEB/JAVA PRODUCTS

IBM Corp’s RS/6000 group has updated some of its internet security and Java technologies. It’s now offering Haystack Labs Inc’s WebStalker Pro software for use with for AIX. It’s said to be able to protect web servers from net-based attacks that conventional firewall technologies cannot detect. In addition IBM’s upgraded its AIX 4.2 add-on technologies with the newest version 1.1.1 of Sun’s Java Development Kit. Meantime, the VideoCharger video streaming server software is now supported on symmetric multiprocessing RS/6000s, the SP parallel systems, and Windows NT 4.0 clients.
