IBM RETAILERS DICOUNTING PS/2S BY 45%

The downside of IBM’s announcement that it had shipped 1.5m PS/2s by the end of January is that according to the Wall Street Journal, some IBM retailers in the US are discounting PS/2s by as much as 45%, suggesting a bit of shelf clearing at any cost is being done by retailers overwhelmed by the number of machines that IBM’s new agreements requires them to take.
