IBM PS/2 VERSUS APPLE MACINTOSH

This is getting serious – IBM may be in the unaccustomed position of seeing its hot new Personal System/2 having to slug it out with Apple Macintoshes and 80386-based AT-alikes, but it can’t have bar-gained for the news that its machines are not even top of the pops once they’re installed and sitting there looking all enticing – but yes, Newsbytes quotes investigator Nick Klimenko of the San Francisco Police Department’s burglary unit: Computers have replaced [IBM] Selectric typewriters as the loot of choice, and it appears quite a few people are involved Macintoshes are particularly hot targets – they are small and portable, and demand a high price on the black market.
