IBM MUSIC FEATURE BOARDS FOR THE 8086-BASED MODEL 30

By CBR Staff Writer

One way and another, the 8086-based Model 30 looks as if it will evolve into the machine PCjr should have been, because as well as some fairly stimulating colour graphics, the machine can be fitted with one or two IBM Music Feature synthesiser boards that imitate all the major instruments of the orchestra, and can play up to 16 notes at a time with two boards; it has 336 different sounds, 96 of them programmable, and in the US costs $495, now; it is also usable on the XT and AT.
