IBM, Microsoft Corp, Apple Computer Inc, Intel Corp, Sony Corp, NCR Corp and Lotus Development Corp were all scheduled to declare their allegiance to the non-profit Interactive Multimedia Association, which plans to define multiple classes of combinations of hardware adn software to get round the problem that Microsoft and Intel have been mobilising support for conflicting multi-media standards.
