Is IBM about to embark on another round of corporate bloodletting? The Computer Marketing Newsletter thinks so, suggesting that the company wants to clear 2,000 people out of Armonk and to decimate – literally, since the suggestion is that it wants to shed one in 10 of the 100,000 people – its US Marketing & Services Group, which is expected to come down to five regional areas from 12; the group’s Philadelphia operations have already closed, the newsletter says.
