The Fast Path product, according to IBM, automates the majority of claims processing by enabling insurers to create more low-touch/no-touch claims using componentized models of the claim value chain.
The system also includes streamlined coverage verification, workload balancing technology, rules-based subrogation and fraud identification and electronic claim file and content management.
In addition, IBM said it is releasing new legacy transformation offerings in a bid to help insurers transform hard-wired legacy systems to a computing model that integrates new technology and legacy investments.
