IBM Corp has the largest share of the Spanish mid-range systems market according to a study by the Ministry of Industry and Energy. In 1993 it had a 41% market share and sales of $90.6m. Next was Hewlett-Packard Co with 19.5% and sales of $43.2m. Then came Siemens Nixdorf Informationssytemes AG with 7.4% share and $16.4m sales. On their heels, in order of importance are Data General Corp, Compagnie des Machines Bull SA, AT&T-Global Information Solutions and Digital Equipment Corp. Total market sales topped $221.6m, which is down on last year.
