IBM INTRODUCES A SIXTH MODEL GROUP FOR PRICING OF 370-TYPE SW

With the new 3090 S models, IBM has introduced a sixth model group for the purposes of pricing 370-type software, and the six levels are now 10 for the 9373-20 and 9375-40; 15 for the 9375 60; 20 for the 9377-90 and 4381-1, 11 and 21; 30 for all other 4381s – 2, 3, 12, 13, 14, 22, 23, 24 – and the 3090-120E and 120S; 40 for all other 3090s apart from the new 500S and 600S, which go into the new Group 50; the Group 15 was introduced in the US in June, and in the UK on Tuesday.
