IBM Corp France announced Thursday that its eight service companies would be integrated into the corporate structure of IBM Global Services, according to a report Friday in Les Echos. The reorganization of the 8,700 employees, who are responsible for revenues of approximately $1.2bn, has apparently taken the worries of its labor unions into consideration. The union CFDT, for example, was concerned that the change would cause many employees to lose hard-won benefits. Beginning May 26, IBM will begin meeting with the unions and with the company labor committees from all eight companies: Axone, CGI, Cimad France, Eurequip, IBM France, Intexis, LY-D Informatique and Seprim.
