IBM France SA and 18 of its core French distribution outlets are to set up a joint venture company to be called Progipart SA, capitalised at $330,000. IBM France will take a 48% of stake, the balance being split among the 18 IBM agents. Rene Samana of IBM France will take the helm of the joint venture company, whose main concern will be the production and distribution of applications targeted at small and medium businesses. The 18 partners, who will each own a 2% or 4% stake in Progipart, are ACMI, Deal, Gard Informatique, GTI, Impacts Organisation, IN Concept, Infogi, Info3D, Loginor, Metsys, Ordiconseil, Pyranees Informatiques, RMH, Saigec, SEII, SIO, Soleri and Sylog.
